Qualifications and Requirements for the Google Nonprofit Grant Program
To be eligible for the Google Nonprofit Grant Program, your organization must meet the following criteria:
Nonprofit Status:
Your organization must be registered as a charitable organization and recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Be in good standing with the IRS.
Non-Discrimination Policy:
Agree to Google’s non-discrimination policy, which states that your organization does not discriminate in hiring, employment practices, or in the administration of programs and services.
Website Requirements:
Your nonprofit must have a functioning website with substantial content that aligns with your organization’s mission.
The website must not display ads from Google AdSense or affiliate advertising links.
Program Compliance:
Commit to managing the Ad Grants account actively, including the following:
Maintain a minimum 5% click-through rate (CTR) each month.
Utilize geo-targeting in campaigns.
Conduct at least one meaningful conversion per month (e.g., donations, newsletter sign-ups, etc.).
Have valid conversion tracking in place and ensure your account is actively managed by logging in at least once a month.
Restricted Activities:
The following types of organizations are not eligible:
Governmental entities and organizations.
Hospitals and healthcare organizations.
Schools, academic institutions, and universities (Google for Education offers a separate program for these entities).
